National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive

It is hardly surprising not a single corporate newspaper reported the death of the Constitution. Go to Google News and type in "National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive" and hit enter. Google returns ten paltry results, not one from the New York Times, the Washington Post, or related corporate media source. Google Trends rates the story as "mild," that is to say it warrants nary a blip on the news radar screen. Of course, another death blow to the Constitution, already long on life support, is hardly news. Few understand we now live in a dictatorship, or maybe it should be called a decidership.
"The Bush administration has released a directive called the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive. The directive released on May 9th, 2007 has gone almost unnoticed by the mainstream and alternative media. This is understandable considering the huge Ron Paul and immigration news but this story is equally as huge. In this directive, Bush declares that in the event of a 'Catastrophic Emergency’ the President will be entrusted with leading the activities to ensure constitutional government. The language in this directive would in effect make the President a dictator in the case of such an emergency," writes Lee Rogers for Global Research. "The language written in the directive is disturbing because it doesn’t say that the President will work with the other branches of government equally to ensure a constitutional government is protected. It says clearly that there will be a cooperative effort among the three branches that will be coordinated by the President. If the President is coordinating these efforts it effectively puts him in charge of every branch. The language in the directive is entirely Orwellian in nature making it seem that it is a cooperative effort between all three branches but than it says that the President is in charge of the cooperative effort."
In short, Bush may now declare himself absolute ruler at any moment and Congress can like it or lump it. Naturally, this act of betrayal is of so little importance and consequence, the corporate media believes you are better served knowing Justin Timberlake is in love.
"This directive on its face is unconstitutional because each branch of government the executive, legislative and judicial are supposed to be equal in power," Lee continues. "By putting the President in charge of coordinating such an effort to ensure constitutional government over all three branches is effectively making the President a dictator allowing him to tell all branches of government what to do."
So much for the first three articles of the Constitution, designed to make sure there remains a separation of power between branches of government. "Ambition must be made to counteract ambition," declared James Madison in the Federalist Papers. Madison, in his original draft of the Bill of Rights, included a proposed amendment that would make the separation of powers explicit, but this proposal was rejected, primarily because his fellow members of Congress thought the separation of powers principle was obvious in the Constitution. There was no way for them to read the future, or predict the wholesale selling and buying of Congress, a judiciary stacked with reactionary troglodytes from the Federalist Society, and a largely brain dead public apparently more interested in Britney Spears lip-sync concerts than preserving the Constitution, let alone comprehending it.
Bush, of course, takes his marching orders from higher up on the food chain, more specifically the World Economic Forum, the club of billionaires and transnational corporations that meet annually in Davos, Switzerland, where they plot our future. In January, the Forum, "with numerous links to business networks, policy-makers and government, NGOs and think-tanks," at the behest of Merrill Lynch, Swiss Re and the Center for Risk Management and Decision Processes, and Wharton School, produced Global Risks 2007, a report containing various dire "global risk" scenarios, including "a full-blown [influenza] pandemic, with one million deaths worldwide." Other possible "global risk" scenarios include "international terrorism" and "climate change."
But what does all of this have to do with Bush and the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive?
"The Directive slipped out relatively unnoticed by the mainstream media, yet it has important and positive implications for the future resiliency of public sector operations in the United States," reports Continuity Central. "The concepts of a National Continuity Coordinator and a centrally directed National Continuity Implementation Plan are to be welcomed in principle and are something which other countries should look seriously at emulating."
Earlier in the year the World Economic Forum called for such a position to be set up in every government in its 'Global Risks 2007’ report. This championed the appointment of 'Country Risk Officers’ who would provide a focal point in government for mitigating global risks across departments, learning from private-sector approaches and escaping a 'silo-based’ approach.
As for the position of National Continuity Coordinator, it went to Frances Fragos Townsend, chair of the Homeland Security Council, who reports to Bush, or rather the neocons and a scattering of neolibs who tell Dubya what to say and do every morning.
"Townsend, as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, by virtue of the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive signed May 9, 2007, by President Bush, is also National Continuity Coordinator," notes SourceWatch. The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive states: "The President shall lead the activities of the Federal Government for ensuring constitutional government. In order to advise and assist the President in that function, the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism (APHS/CT) is hereby designated as the National Continuity Coordinator. The National Continuity Coordinator, in coordination with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs (APNSA), without exercising directive authority, shall coordinate the development and implementation of continuity policy for executive departments and agencies. The Continuity Policy Coordination Committee (CPCC), chaired by a Senior Director from the Homeland Security Council staff, designated by the National Continuity Coordinator, shall be the main day-to-day forum for such policy coordination."
In essence, the globalist oligarchy, from on-high in Davos, through "business networks, policy-makers … NGOs and think-tanks," are driving policies designed to reduce the Constitution to an irrelevancy. Of course, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are but the last impediment to establishing a globalist soviet in the United States, soon to be merged into a North American Union, itself but a component of larger "trading" blocs carved out by the globalists.
Considering all of this, it makes perfect sense the corporate media ignored the rollout of the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive, same as they ignore the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, even though the latter involves the direct participation of Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez, Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Naturally, any talk of conspiracy to sell out the nation and dismantle the Constitution and the Bill of Rights relegates one to the tinfoil hat brigade, for if such things are not reported upon or discussed at Fox News, they naturally fall in the province of kooky conspiracy theories.

An Open letter to the President on Immigration
Dear Mr. President:
I read a news article today, in it you criticized those in Congress and americans who were against your so-called immigration reform (I have linked and copied it below this letter), I found it interesting for so many reasons and at times shameful.
Mr. President, you underestimate the intelligence and logic of the American people and you have proven consistently that the common American citizen is not someone you care about and finally Mr. President, you refuse to take responsibility for a situation that you have created and you are not calling for the sanctions that need to made against those that are prostituting our country for their benefit. I now wish to numerate my criticisms:
1) There is no real incentive for any illegal immigrant to come forward. Mr. President, illegal immigrants are getting welfare, they are living with business, they are getting mortgages, they are going to college and they are getting jobs without having to sign up to become a legal immigrant. The law you are suggesting is not taking into account that you have failed to enforce laws already on the books, there is no need to create a new law, enforce the laws already on the books. What happened to deportation? What happened to refusing jobs to those who were illegal, what happened to not giving businesses and education to illegals? What happened to deporting upon realizing that someone was illegal, whether it was for a traffic stop, a hospital trip, etc? Mr. President, you have failed the American people on this first point. You are not enforcing our borders, in fact, you have opened them.
2) The truth is not yet touched upon. Mr. President can you give a good solid explanation why we have over 12 million illegal immigrants in this country? Can you explain why in your two terms in office, we have had a 500% increase of illegal immigrants in this country? Can you explain why deportation has gone down, INS was destroyed and now illegal immigrants can march to take over our country and NOTHING IS DONE? Mr. President, if you refuse to give the harshest sanctions to the rich corporations that are making money off the "new breed of slaves" than you again, have underestimated the minds and hearts of the American people. Those who have allowed these illegals to work, live and benefit from our country, are the ones who also need to be fined heavily. I have not heard any remarks that even touches upon this. Is it because you are just surfacely addressing the issues with illegal immigrants while trying to keep the rich more rich and watch the middle class disappear and the poor unskilled and low skilled American citizens out of work, so that those in power can stay there.
Mr. President until you address the truth of this plight of destruction you have put our country on, no bill, no law will ever erase the inevitable. We are Rome before the fall...
3) I find it interesting that you believe that asking people to come forward, allow themselves to get a criminal background check and pay a fine is ever really going to cover the real issues here. Have you heard of Aztlan? Have you heard of the North American Union? Have you heard of La Raza? Did you notice how Americans are mistreated and booed upon by Mexicans (just look at the Miss Universe pageant last night) whenever we are near. Mr. President, can you explain how 12 million people that have illegally occupied a country with the belief that they are going to take it over and that habor a deep hatred for white and black american citizens is indeed beneficial? Mr. President, if these illegal immigrants have stolen social securities cards, lived under aliases, how and in what means are you ever going to thoroughly realize what all they may have done to live in this country? You have no real trace of them, they can easily lie and deny things, how can you even consider rewarding criminal behavior, behavior that this country nor criminal agency could ever truly realize or find out?
Mr. President, you are creating a recipe for Civil War. You are allowing 12 million people to benefit from a country they never respected to live in the first place and you insult the legal immigrants that worked their asses off, paid their dues, paid their fees to live here, while you reward those who haven't.
4) And finally Mr. President, why do we have a war in Iraq, when more than 10% of a country is invading our borders without regard for law. In every major city in the past year there have been marches by these illegal people where people have spoke of taking over our country, forcing us to speak Spanish and hanging and burning the American flag! Why aren't our military protecting us from a clear invasion? Look around my blog, Mr. President, read the words of very high level people that are reported on the war that Mexico is waging with us. How can you ever believe that anything less than protection of the American public is worthwhile.?
I fear this will fall on deaf ears, Mr. President. I know that one day a great equalizer will come and you will realize that those that lead, will need to be led. And this great country that has always been underestimated will take back a failed democracy and make it for the people again..

President Bush' attacked opponents of an immigration deal Tuesday, suggesting they "don't want to do what's right for America."
"The fundamental question is, will elected officials have the courage necessary to put a comprehensive immigration plan in place," Bush said against a backdrop of a huge American flag.
He described his proposal — which has been agreed to by a bipartisan group of senators — as one that "makes it more likely we can enforce our border — and at the same time uphold the great immigrant tradition of the United States of America."
Bush spoke at the nation's largest training center for law enforcement.
He chose the get-tough setting as conservative critics blast a Senate proposal as being soft on people who break the law. Hoping to blunt that message, Bush emphasized that any new options for immigrants and foreign workers would not start until tougher security is in place.
The presidential stop came during a congressional recess, with senators back home and facing pressure from the left and right on the immigration plan. Bush's aim is to build momentum for the legislation, perhaps his best chance for a signature victory in his second term. The Senate expects to resume debate on it next week.
"A lot of Americans are skeptical about immigration reform, primarily because they don't think the government can fix the problems," Bush said.
"And my answer to the skeptics is: give us a chance to fix the problems in a comprehensive way that enforces our border and treats people with decency and respect. Give us a chance to fix this problem. Don't try to kill this bill before it gets moving," Bush told students and instructors at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
Bush repeatedly cast the matter as one of political courage.
"Those determined to find fault with this bill will always be able to look at a narrow slice of it and find something they don't like," the president said. "If you want to kill the bill, if you don't want to do what's right for America, you can pick one little aspect out of it.
"You can use it to frighten people," Bush said. "Or you can show leadership and solve this problem once and for all."
The bill would give temporary legal status to millions of unlawful immigrants, provided they came forward, paid a fine and underwent criminal background checks. To apply for a green card, they would have to pay another fine, learn English, return to their home country and wait in line.
The plan also would create a guest worker program. It would allow foreign laborers to come to the U.S. for temporary stints, yet with no guarantee they can eventually gain citizenship.
Both the new visa plan and the temporary worker program are contingent on other steps coming first. Those include fencing and barriers along the Mexico border, the hiring of more Border Patrol agents and the completion of an identification system to verify employees' legal status.
The legislation would also reshape future immigration decisions. A new point system would prioritize skills and education over family in deciding who can immigrate.
Georgia's senators both played leading roles in producing Bush's deal with the Senate. Yet they have also said they may not support the final bill, depending upon how it is amended.
Bush chastised those who say the proposal offers amnesty to illegal immigrants. He called it empty political rhetoric.

Mexico's War on America
This is a reprint of an article I came across on the internet.
In 1836, legends Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie and William Travis, along with 180 fearless men, fought Santa Anna's two thousand Mexican troops at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. No contest! Santa Anna killed every last one of those brave men. Six weeks later, with a cry of "Remember the Alamo", Texans beat back the Mexican army and established Texas as a republic and later, part of the United States of America.
As a premier, many of you watch the History Channel with WWII footage showing Germans and their tanks charging into Poland. You watched their tanks crush the French.
Did any of you watch the 100,000 illegal Mexicans and others storm Chicago, Illinois March 10, 2006? How many Mexican insurgents stand on American soil? At last count, in excess of 23,000,000 or more illegal Mexicans! It's the largest invasion force without firing a shot EVER on American soil.
This invasion is encouraged, abetted and organized by the Mexican state and supported by all citizens in Mexican society. Calderon and Fox before him provides his 'troops' with maps, water, provisions and aid to invade America's border.

What you're watching-and most Americans only keep watching without a whimper is the takeover of America by a foreign country by colonization.

In time, they will be able to deny authority of American law because they will vote against American laws and/or change them to fit their purposes.
A simple look at what happened in Chicago a week ago portends violent confrontations in the future. We allow the complete surrender of U.S. sovereignty over our immigration policy. Thus, the Mexican government is using the Mexican U.S. population as a fifth column."
As you can see, we allow 56 Mexican consulates in major cities throughout America to foster this invasion with help and guidance inside the belly of America. Those consulates distribute 'Guia del Migrante Mexicano' which is a guide for illegals to further imbed themselves into America without getting caught.

Not only that, he can count on an American foot soldier George Bush and most of the U.S. Congress. Calderon counts on the silence of U.S. governors in all 50 states. Who are his foot soldiers? Twenty-Three Million Mexicans spread across 49 states and growing!

Why I think giving amnesty to 12 millions illegals is a bad idea
I'm home for the three day memorial weekend and besides going out with some friends, I have been online for the most part reading newsreports, surfing, etc - like most people. On and off I come across what reads almost like propaganda about legalizing people who have lived here illegally and paving them a way to remain here. I have a few issues with this idea.
1) First and foremost I think it is a huge slap in the face to the many legal immigrants - remember I was married to one, who have followed the rules, applied, spent years in limbo, paid the monies, didn't leave the country until the process was complete to be here. Insulting our intelligence by throwing up a petty fine is ridiculous. You are rewarding criminal invaders (more on this in a minute) and from the marches and rallies I have attended, they plan to not only stay here, but TAKE THE COUNTRY OVER, they are racist people who hate white and black americans alike. But somehow a small fine is going to make it all better.
2) The lack of true motivation. Let's discuss all the benefits illegals get while living here illegally. Illegals can get welfare. I have seen some argue that they don't, however, research and studies don't like. I have even visited welfare offices in my area under the guise of doing an independent newsreport. I was ASTOUNDED by the number of people in those offices that didn't speak English, that were carrying children that seemed only separated by nine months and were obviously not from this country. I was told that as long as their child is a citizen, they can apply and will get welfare. I have learned that many women travel here while pregnant to make sure they have their baby on this soil. Maybe that's one of the reason over 60 hospitals that border Mexico in the US have closed in bankruptcy - BUT BUT somehow rewarding this is going to make it better. Let's move on.
Mortgages, loans, grant money - there are hundreds of banks, new and small who make it their business to give illegals every opportunity to live off our riches in this country. They can get loans and mortgages for next to nothing. It's capitalism personified, it's our greed that is being used to destroy us from the inside us. Places like BANK OF AMERICA, don't even care if you have any true documentation of your identity or not. Let it be known, places like this are part of this terrorist movement to take over the United States. But our soldiers are dying in Iraq, for what??? (I will come back to this).
College education on state money. I once dated a man whose entire job was to give legal aid and find ways to get illegal immigrants into college. I was apalled on so many levels, I couldn't believe that community colleges were assisting in the illegal invaders education. I want to take this a step further.
If you look at the highest number of participants of these racist militant organizations like La Raza and Aztlan, you may or may not be surprised to find out that the most vocal and the most passionate are the "college educated" illegals and legal Mexican immigrants.
And finally jobs. We all have seen it over the years. Jobs where I always saw black people working and asians were now becoming overwhelming illegal. I knew of many a black cleaning services and construction companies who were literally ran out of business because bigger businesses wanted to save money and use "free-like labor".
3. Is deportation even used anymore? I appreciate groups like I.C.E. but I can't help but think that they are just a band-aid for the entire problem. I notice that the media is very creative and making sure we hear about the 25 people that were arrested on illegal charges, BUT THEN I read the rest and then all these blah blah conditions why they can't be deported goes into play and then that 25 turns into 5 and I realize there's a bigger problem here.
INS is no longer here. Homeland Security is a joke. Border Patrol is so riffed with corruption it is almost a joke. Here's the funniest part, they can't use guns, they can't even get aggressive, these people are so unequipped to handle the borders being completely surrounded and penetrated, it's almost a losing battle and you have to wonder what is really going on here.
4. We are being invaded, plan and simple. Let's stop lying about it, let's stop pretending, let's stop making some silly little Congress debate to try to appease those with intelligence. It seems to me that any able bodied Mexican is not only convinced to come to this country, that they are indoctrinated to do so. When I was a little girl I used to watch ants swarm something, it was almost dynamic in nature, but the swarmed to overtake, to get whatever food or whatever that they wanted. The swarming technique is not new nor very astute, but when you swarm repeatedly, there is no doubt that they will penetrate within. 12 million illegal Mexicans in this country is an understatement and it is abominable that our country allowed it to happen, continues to allow it to happen and is trying to pacify the American public on how to deal with it.
Until the invasion is stopped, our country, our way of life, our economy, our schools, our hospitals, our communities are going to crumble. There is no way that our country can maintain the entire of Mexico, not even 10% of Mexico, NOR SHOULD IT!
5. We are not waging WAR with Mexico, which we should do. I used to think differently, but we are in Iraq waging a war when Mexicans are on our streets corners, in our neighborhoods, planning to take over our country from within. Although not one Mexican today can claim any part of this country to their ancestry, they have been indoctrinated by such racist and militant ideology that they hate not only the "white man", but the "black man" and anyone here that is living in this country as an american citizen. They want this country for themselves.
Not just as a thinking person, let's look at Mexico, let's look at the communities where there is huge number of Mexicans. I know, I for one, would not want to live there. It is dangerous, corrupt, rich living off poor and I see the dynamic spreading through out. These people who have come from a failed corrupt country have brought that same ideology here and the reason they are allowed to stay is to erase the middle class, the economy as we know it.
We need to be fighting against our border invasion. Mexico is not our friends, these illegals Mexicans that are here ARE NOT OUR FRIENDS, they do not have the betterment of our country in their minds at all and we have to realize and accept that without feeling guilty about it.
6. If we give amnesty to 12 million people, we have sealed the deal on our destruction of this country. Civil war is a given and the 12 million will become 24 million and before you know it, this country will break apart. One will be spanish, one will be English and there will be a breakdown in civil liberties like you have never seen. If you study the fall of ROME, you will see exactly how what is happening now is mirroring it. History does not lie. Our government is not our voice anymore, they are not listening to us, they are not representing the average american citizen.
In my mind I see a clock ticking, I hear it every day growing louder. I close my eyes as I walk the streets and there are days when I am in tears. It literally breaks my heart that my country has allowed us to be invaded to such a degree. Superficial responses to the breakdown of protecting our borders and our countries is just that. I watch thousands of our military fighting wars that make no sense and I walk through the neighborhoods and I see faces of hate staring at me, intent to destroy this country and I wonder "who will represent me, who will fight for the american citizen, who will hear my voice and my love of a country I never knew existed so deeply."
If there is ever a question by anyone reading, why I created this group, why I started this blog, it is this and this alone, the country I love is being destroyed...

Reasons why we don't see anti-illegal marches
And why we don't see more Americans vocal and joining organizations. I am going to post a few views on this after I use some I saw on a site, I thought they were great.
1. We are too busy with living; jobs, families, etc.
2. We have lost faith in our political system and our ability to effect change.
3. We spend much time refuting spurious charges of racism and xenophobia.
4. We have no (or few) rallying-points or unifying organizations for that purpose.
5. We are not affected by the issue in the same way as the marching Illegals.
6. Spineless politicos on both sides of the aisle are in bed with special interests.
7. Much of the media is owned and operated by those with a Pro-Illegals stance.
8. We are reluctant to bring harm to others even when in defense of ourselves.
9. Our political leadership believe us to be sheep who will go along quietly.

10. We have been feared into passivity.
Number ten came about when I posted an online response on an anonymous message board. Someone wrote me back and told me she lived in Los Angeles and was totally against illegal immigration but she was afraid her job would find out she was involved in something like this and didn't want to be traced by the government.
On so many levels I found that odd. How could a government company of the US made you feel bad about joining against illegal activity in this country? Are we so afraid of our country that we sit in silence, afraid they will mark us, monitor us and cart us away?

And our government and its greed will continue to support "new age slavery" because it will save money and it will continue their agenda to destroy the middle class.
We can't let fear stop us. We can't let fear of being monitored or traced stop us. Until we face the very real sad future for our country, we are lost.
Don't be afraid.
1. We are too busy with living; jobs, families, etc.
2. We have lost faith in our political system and our ability to effect change.
3. We spend much time refuting spurious charges of racism and xenophobia.
4. We have no (or few) rallying-points or unifying organizations for that purpose.
5. We are not affected by the issue in the same way as the marching Illegals.
6. Spineless politicos on both sides of the aisle are in bed with special interests.
7. Much of the media is owned and operated by those with a Pro-Illegals stance.
8. We are reluctant to bring harm to others even when in defense of ourselves.
9. Our political leadership believe us to be sheep who will go along quietly.

Number ten came about when I posted an online response on an anonymous message board. Someone wrote me back and told me she lived in Los Angeles and was totally against illegal immigration but she was afraid her job would find out she was involved in something like this and didn't want to be traced by the government.
On so many levels I found that odd. How could a government company of the US made you feel bad about joining against illegal activity in this country? Are we so afraid of our country that we sit in silence, afraid they will mark us, monitor us and cart us away?

I started this blog as a means to voice what is happening in our country. I, however, can't do it alone. I am just like you. I have watched slowly things that I only read about in Los Angeles and Texas happening everywhere in this country. I have watched illegals picket with such anger and racism against the US, that I realized how much the invasion was happening before our eyes. Why are we in Iraq, when the hate and the terrorists are right here in our country. They hate us, they want to take away our homes and our comfort in this country and destroy it. They have been indoctrinated to believe that this country is theirs, even when the country of their birth has failed them.

I will continually reiterate that Mayor Villaraigosa is guilty of treason against our country. He is assisting racist militant terrorists from Mexico to take over our country and must be stopped. He is no different than Al Qeeda.

My commentary on "Why Mexican illegals do not protest against their own country"
Do you remember when America wasn't so great? Remember things like slavery, Jim Crow, Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights, etc? What did Americans do to make their country better? Did we leave or did we band together and fight for our rights? Did any of us go back to Europe and demand that we be let back in or did we realize that where we were born and where our parents were born was indeed our country? I believe American citizens believed in democracy and saw the potential in our government and that is why we fought, we protested, some of us died all for a better country.
Why isn't anyone from Mexico fighting to make their country better? The actuality is that Mexico itself is not poor. There are more than enough riches and abundance. And if people that come to this country really cared about their country, the country whose flag they wave repeatedly, why are they not coming together and fighting for rights there? Even if in their hope of all hopes they got the Southwest, it would be part of the Mexico, they claim they are running from because of horrible conditions. Why not fight to improve your own country? Why not protest your president?
I have watched the protests and was astonished by the militant racism of the marchers. I was particularly observant of so many that told American citizens to leave their country. As an avid historian I was surprised that any current Mexican citizen would make such a claim because not one has any ties to any of the current Southwest. I am also particularly interested in why there is never any current talks to cover why so many leave. Is it because many are encouraged by their own president? I recall watching a news story where it was shown that Vicente Fox was encouraging newly released prisoners to flee to the United States. I then came across little pamphlets given to Mexican citizens with third grade pictorials on how to come to this country illegally. Something is wrong with this picture. How would poor people in the United States feel if instead of your government giving the terrible economy or corruption of government attention, it handed you a pamphlet on how to break laws to go to Canada? Does that even make sense?
Why are we being manipulated like this? Each and every American has to ask that question. Immigration is good for every country, but in the last ten years, the amount of illegal Mexicans have skyrocketed. Border Patrol is a joke, INS is a joke, our laws that are supposed to protect the common American citizen is a joke. But we must ask why? Could it be drugs? Could it be a plan of globalization? Could it be to use illegal immigrants as slaves and take whatever little bit they do pay in taxes to fund Social Security? Why are so many illegal immigrants racist against the American citizen? And why, above all else, do you not see the hypocrisy of your own doing?
If you can come together possibly a million of you, think about how you can come together, take what knowledge you have learned from the United States and build your country. How would Mexicans feel if American citizens marched in the Mexico demanding for rights from the Mexican government, even when we snuck across the border to get in?

Mexican consulates attacking US Laws for help of Illegals
Diplomacy may be the art of lying for one's country, but Mexican diplomacy requires taking that art to virtuosic heights.
Mexican officials here and abroad are involved in a massive and almost daily interference in American sovereignty. The millions of illegal Mexican immigrants in this country are here thanks in part to Mexico's efforts to get them into the U.S. in violation of American law and to normalize their status once here in violation of the popular will. Mexican consulates are engineering a backdoor amnesty for their illegal migrants and trying to discredit American immigration enforcement – activities clearly beyond diplomatic bounds. Mexico's governing class is not content simply to unload the victims of its failed policies on the U.S., however. It also tries to ensure that migrants retain allegiance to La Patria, so as to preserve the $16 billion in remittances that they send to Mexico each year. Mexican leaders have thus tasked their nation's U.S. consulates with spreading Mexican culture into American schools and communities. Given the American public's swelling anger about illegal immigration, it's past time for Washington to tell Mexico to cease interfering and for the Bush administration to start enforcing the law.
Just how shameless is Mexico in promoting illegal entry into the U.S.? For starters, the government publishes and distributes a comic book-style guide on breaching the border safely and evading detection once across. Disseminating information about how to evade a host country's laws is not typical consular activity. Consulates exist to promote the commercial interests of their nations abroad and to help nationals if they have lost passports, gotten robbed or fallen ill. If a national gets arrested, consular officials may visit him in jail to ensure that his treatment meets minimum human rights standards. Consuls aren't supposed to connive in breaking a host country's laws or intervene in its internal affairs.
The border-breaking guide is just the tip of the iceberg of Mexican meddling. After 9-11, Vicente Fox's government realized that the immigration amnesty that it had expected was on hold. So it came up with the second best thing: a de facto amnesty, at the heart of which is the matricula consular card.
Mexican consulates, like those of other countries, have traditionally offered consular cards to their nationals abroad for registration purposes, in case they disappear. In practice, few Mexicans bothered to obtain them. After 9-11, though, officials at Los Pinos (the Mexican White House) ordered their consulates to promote the card as a way for illegals to obtain privileges that the U.S. usually reserves for legal residents. The consulates started aggressively lobbying American governmental officials and banks to accept matriculas as valid IDs for driver's licenses, checking accounts and other benefits.
The only type of Mexican who would need such identification is an illegal one; legal aliens already have sufficient documentation to get driver's licenses and bank accounts. Predictably, the IDs flew off the shelf – more than 4.7 million since 2000. Every day, illegals seeking matriculas swamp the consulates.
A consulate's right to issue such a card to its nationals is indisputable; where the Mexican diplomats push the envelope is in lobbying governments to adopt it as an American ID. In announcing the normalization-through-the-matricula push, then-foreign minister Jorge Castañeda was characteristically blunt: "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities – if you will – in their communities."
Mexico's disrespect for the law regarding its illegal migrants begins on its side of the border. Mexico's own regulations require that all exits from the country go through established crossing points. Decades ago, Mexico enforced that rule. Now, any Mexican can cross wherever he wants.
Mexicans view migration to the U.S. as a fundamental human right, says former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Jeffrey Davidow; no laws should stop it, they believe. In addition, nearly 60 percent of Mexican respondents polled by Zogby in 2001 said that the southwestern U.S. belongs to Mexico. Only 28 percent disagreed.
Mexican consuls denounce any U.S. law enforcement effort against illegal immigration as biased and inhumane. For the moment, they still tolerate deportations if officials pick up the illegal Mexican right at the border and promptly set him down on the other side – whence he can try again the next day. Once in the U.S., however, an illegal gains untouchable status, in the consuls' view.
This past April, for example, Ipswich, N.H., police Chief W. Garrett Chamberlain had grown frustrated with the federal government's refusal to take custody of illegal aliens that his deputies reported to immigration agents. So he charged a Mexican illegal for criminal trespass – for being in a place without legal authority. A chief in a nearby town followed suit. Mexican officials went berserk: If this legal move succeeded – and police chiefs across the country immediately declared interest in using it – it would breach the nationwide sanctuary for Mexico's illegals.
Pulling out all the stops, the Mexican government paid for the defendants' legal representation – another departure from traditional diplomatic practice, which forbids interference in a host country's judicial process unless it is patently unfair. Boston consul general Porfirio Thierry Muñoz Ledo declared the Ipswich trial "legally invalid, discriminatory and a violation of human rights."
Yet the New Hampshire chiefs weren't using the law against the defendants because they were Mexican but because they were illegal. No legal Mexican need worry about arrest for trespass or for violations of the immigration law. Mexico's campaign against immigration enforcement, however, equates being Mexican with being illegal – a presumption that the country would undoubtedly label racist if an American articulated it.
For the moment, Mexican illegals inside the border are safely insulated from enforcement. A New Hampshire judge rejected the Ipswich indictment this August, ruling that local police departments may not use trespass laws against immigration violators. Since the federal authorities virtually refuse to arrest immigration violators, and since most big cities forbid their police to inquire into immigration status, the nation remains one big sanctuary for illegals.
Mexico's consuls go even further in undermining U.S. border law. They're evolving a "disparate impact" theory that holds that any police action is invalid if it falls upon illegal Mexicans, even if that action has nothing to do with immigration.
In July, the Mexican consul general in New York City, Arturo Sarukhan, lambasted Suffolk County, Long Island, officials for evicting more than 100 illegal aliens whose dangerously overcrowded housing violated fire and safety codes. The code enforcement constituted a "vilif[ication]" of the Mexicans, Mr. Sarukhan said, and inflamed community "tensions."
Policing fire and safety codes is a core function of local government – unless it interferes with an illegal Mexican, in the New York consul general's view. He might note that the "tensions" in Long Island aren't due to the Suffolk County government, but to the continuing influx of Latin Americans flouting American law.
Quick to defend individual illegals, the consuls just as energetically fight legislative measures to reclaim the border. Voters nationwide have lost patience with the federal government's indifference to illegal immigration, which imposes crippling costs on local schools, hospitals and jails that must serve or incarcerate thousands of illegal students, patients and gangbangers.
In November 2004, to cite but one example, Arizona voters passed Proposition 200 over the strenuous protests of the Phoenix consul general, who sent out press releases urging Hispanics to vote against it. The proposition merely reaffirmed existing law that requires proof of citizenship to vote and to receive certain welfare benefits. After the law passed, Mexico's foreign minister threatened to bring suit in international tribunals for this human rights violation, and the Phoenix consulate supported a federal lawsuit against the proposition.The gall of Mexican officials does not end with the push for illegal entry. After demanding that we educate their surplus citizens, give those citizens food stamps, deliver their babies, provide them with doctors and hospital beds and police their neighborhoods, the Mexican government also expects us to help preserve their loyalty to Mexico.
Since 1990, Mexico has embarked on a series of initiatives to import Mexican culture into the U.S. Mexico's five-year development plan in 1995 announced that the "Mexican nation extends beyond ... its border" – into the U.S. Accordingly, the government would "strengthen solidarity programs with the Mexican communities abroad by emphasizing their Mexican roots and supporting literacy programs in Spanish and the teaching of the history, values and traditions of our country."
The launching pad for these educational sallies is the IME. The IME directs several programs aimed at American schools. Each of Mexico's 47 consulates in the U.S. (a number that expands nearly every year) has a mandate to introduce Mexican textbooks into schools with significant Hispanic populations.
Immigrants have often tried to hold on to their native traditions, but not until recently did anyone expect American schools to help them do so. And it is hard to see how studying Mexican history from a Mexican perspective helps forge an American identity. Study exercises from a sixth-grade textbook that include discovering "what happened to your territory when the U.S. invaded" don't clarify things. The audacity of Mexico's interference in U.S. immigration policy stands in sharp contrast to Mexico's own jealous sense of sovereignty. It is difficult to imagine a country touchier about interference in its domestic affairs.
This summer, U.S. ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza closed the U.S. consulate in Nuevo Laredo after a particularly bloody period of drug violence that included the assassination of the town's police chief. Mr. Garza admitted to a reporter that he shut the consulate "in part" to punish Mexico for its failure to control the mayhem. Such measured language, in response to a public threat, provoked a sharp correction from Mexico's deputy foreign secretary, Geronimo Gutierrez. Mr. Garza's words, fumed Mr. Gutierrez, do "not correspond to the role of an ambassador."
But Mexican diplomats in the U.S. often express far harsher, and ad hominem, political judgments, with little regard for protocol. Mexican politicians are even starting to allege that American responses to illegal immigration in the U.S. are a violation of Mexico's sovereignty.
This August, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson declared a state of emergency in four counties bordering Mexico because of violence and devastation wrought by trafficking in aliens and drugs. City Council members from the Mexican city of Ciudad Juárez branded Mr. Richardson's declaration an interference in Mexico's domestic affairs.
Mexico's own immigration policies are the exact opposite of what it relentlessly advocates in the U.S. Its entry permits favor scientists, technicians, teachers of underrepresented disciplines and others likely to contribute to "national progress." Immigrants may only enter through established ports and at designated times. Anyone not presenting the proper documentation and health certificates won't get in. Foreigners who do not "strictly comply" with the entry conditions will face deportation.
What about textbooks to propagate American culture in Mexico? When President Ernesto Zedillo tried in the 1990s merely to revise Mexican textbooks to acknowledge contemporary cooperation between the U.S. and Mexico, he found himself denounced as a traitor. The revisions went nowhere.
Mexico's border police have reportedly engaged in rapes, robberies and beatings of illegal aliens from Central and South America on their way to the U.S. Yet compared with the extensive immigrant-advocacy network in the U.S., few pressure groups exist in Mexico to protest such treatment. And if Americans run afoul of Mexico's border police, watch out.
The Mexican government will push to control as much U.S. immigration policy as it can. It's up to American officials to stop such interference, but the Bush administration simply winks at foreign attacks on immigration laws that it itself refuses to enforce. President Bush should worry less about upsetting his friends at Los Pinos and more about listening to the American people: Illegal immigration, they believe, is an affront to the rule of law and a threat to American security. It can and must be stopped.

Predictably, the IDs flew off the shelf – more than 4.7 million since 2000. Every day, illegals seeking matriculas swamp the consulates.
A consulate's right to issue such a card to its nationals is indisputable; where the Mexican diplomats push the envelope is in lobbying governments to adopt it as an American ID. In announcing the normalization-through-the-matricula push, then-foreign minister Jorge Castañeda was characteristically blunt: "We are already giving instructions to our consulates that they begin propagating militant activities – if you will – in their communities."
Mexico's disrespect for the law regarding its illegal migrants begins on its side of the border. Mexico's own regulations require that all exits from the country go through established crossing points. Decades ago, Mexico enforced that rule. Now, any Mexican can cross wherever he wants.
Mexicans view migration to the U.S. as a fundamental human right, says former U.S. Ambassador to Mexico Jeffrey Davidow; no laws should stop it, they believe. In addition, nearly 60 percent of Mexican respondents polled by Zogby in 2001 said that the southwestern U.S. belongs to Mexico. Only 28 percent disagreed.
Mexican consuls denounce any U.S. law enforcement effort against illegal immigration as biased and inhumane. For the moment, they still tolerate deportations if officials pick up the illegal Mexican right at the border and promptly set him down on the other side – whence he can try again the next day. Once in the U.S., however, an illegal gains untouchable status, in the consuls' view.
This past April, for example, Ipswich, N.H., police Chief W. Garrett Chamberlain had grown frustrated with the federal government's refusal to take custody of illegal aliens that his deputies reported to immigration agents. So he charged a Mexican illegal for criminal trespass – for being in a place without legal authority. A chief in a nearby town followed suit. Mexican officials went berserk: If this legal move succeeded – and police chiefs across the country immediately declared interest in using it – it would breach the nationwide sanctuary for Mexico's illegals.
Pulling out all the stops, the Mexican government paid for the defendants' legal representation – another departure from traditional diplomatic practice, which forbids interference in a host country's judicial process unless it is patently unfair. Boston consul general Porfirio Thierry Muñoz Ledo declared the Ipswich trial "legally invalid, discriminatory and a violation of human rights."
Yet the New Hampshire chiefs weren't using the law against the defendants because they were Mexican but because they were illegal. No legal Mexican need worry about arrest for trespass or for violations of the immigration law. Mexico's campaign against immigration enforcement, however, equates being Mexican with being illegal – a presumption that the country would undoubtedly label racist if an American articulated it.
For the moment, Mexican illegals inside the border are safely insulated from enforcement. A New Hampshire judge rejected the Ipswich indictment this August, ruling that local police departments may not use trespass laws against immigration violators. Since the federal authorities virtually refuse to arrest immigration violators, and since most big cities forbid their police to inquire into immigration status, the nation remains one big sanctuary for illegals.
Mexico's consuls go even further in undermining U.S. border law. They're evolving a "disparate impact" theory that holds that any police action is invalid if it falls upon illegal Mexicans, even if that action has nothing to do with immigration.
In July, the Mexican consul general in New York City, Arturo Sarukhan, lambasted Suffolk County, Long Island, officials for evicting more than 100 illegal aliens whose dangerously overcrowded housing violated fire and safety codes. The code enforcement constituted a "vilif[ication]" of the Mexicans, Mr. Sarukhan said, and inflamed community "tensions."
Policing fire and safety codes is a core function of local government – unless it interferes with an illegal Mexican, in the New York consul general's view. He might note that the "tensions" in Long Island aren't due to the Suffolk County government, but to the continuing influx of Latin Americans flouting American law.
Quick to defend individual illegals, the consuls just as energetically fight legislative measures to reclaim the border. Voters nationwide have lost patience with the federal government's indifference to illegal immigration, which imposes crippling costs on local schools, hospitals and jails that must serve or incarcerate thousands of illegal students, patients and gangbangers.
In November 2004, to cite but one example, Arizona voters passed Proposition 200 over the strenuous protests of the Phoenix consul general, who sent out press releases urging Hispanics to vote against it. The proposition merely reaffirmed existing law that requires proof of citizenship to vote and to receive certain welfare benefits. After the law passed, Mexico's foreign minister threatened to bring suit in international tribunals for this human rights violation, and the Phoenix consulate supported a federal lawsuit against the proposition.The gall of Mexican officials does not end with the push for illegal entry. After demanding that we educate their surplus citizens, give those citizens food stamps, deliver their babies, provide them with doctors and hospital beds and police their neighborhoods, the Mexican government also expects us to help preserve their loyalty to Mexico.
Since 1990, Mexico has embarked on a series of initiatives to import Mexican culture into the U.S. Mexico's five-year development plan in 1995 announced that the "Mexican nation extends beyond ... its border" – into the U.S. Accordingly, the government would "strengthen solidarity programs with the Mexican communities abroad by emphasizing their Mexican roots and supporting literacy programs in Spanish and the teaching of the history, values and traditions of our country."
The launching pad for these educational sallies is the IME. The IME directs several programs aimed at American schools. Each of Mexico's 47 consulates in the U.S. (a number that expands nearly every year) has a mandate to introduce Mexican textbooks into schools with significant Hispanic populations.
Immigrants have often tried to hold on to their native traditions, but not until recently did anyone expect American schools to help them do so. And it is hard to see how studying Mexican history from a Mexican perspective helps forge an American identity. Study exercises from a sixth-grade textbook that include discovering "what happened to your territory when the U.S. invaded" don't clarify things. The audacity of Mexico's interference in U.S. immigration policy stands in sharp contrast to Mexico's own jealous sense of sovereignty. It is difficult to imagine a country touchier about interference in its domestic affairs.
This summer, U.S. ambassador to Mexico Tony Garza closed the U.S. consulate in Nuevo Laredo after a particularly bloody period of drug violence that included the assassination of the town's police chief. Mr. Garza admitted to a reporter that he shut the consulate "in part" to punish Mexico for its failure to control the mayhem. Such measured language, in response to a public threat, provoked a sharp correction from Mexico's deputy foreign secretary, Geronimo Gutierrez. Mr. Garza's words, fumed Mr. Gutierrez, do "not correspond to the role of an ambassador."
But Mexican diplomats in the U.S. often express far harsher, and ad hominem, political judgments, with little regard for protocol. Mexican politicians are even starting to allege that American responses to illegal immigration in the U.S. are a violation of Mexico's sovereignty.
This August, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson declared a state of emergency in four counties bordering Mexico because of violence and devastation wrought by trafficking in aliens and drugs. City Council members from the Mexican city of Ciudad Juárez branded Mr. Richardson's declaration an interference in Mexico's domestic affairs.
Mexico's own immigration policies are the exact opposite of what it relentlessly advocates in the U.S. Its entry permits favor scientists, technicians, teachers of underrepresented disciplines and others likely to contribute to "national progress." Immigrants may only enter through established ports and at designated times. Anyone not presenting the proper documentation and health certificates won't get in. Foreigners who do not "strictly comply" with the entry conditions will face deportation.
What about textbooks to propagate American culture in Mexico? When President Ernesto Zedillo tried in the 1990s merely to revise Mexican textbooks to acknowledge contemporary cooperation between the U.S. and Mexico, he found himself denounced as a traitor. The revisions went nowhere.
Mexico's border police have reportedly engaged in rapes, robberies and beatings of illegal aliens from Central and South America on their way to the U.S. Yet compared with the extensive immigrant-advocacy network in the U.S., few pressure groups exist in Mexico to protest such treatment. And if Americans run afoul of Mexico's border police, watch out.
The Mexican government will push to control as much U.S. immigration policy as it can. It's up to American officials to stop such interference, but the Bush administration simply winks at foreign attacks on immigration laws that it itself refuses to enforce. President Bush should worry less about upsetting his friends at Los Pinos and more about listening to the American people: Illegal immigration, they believe, is an affront to the rule of law and a threat to American security. It can and must be stopped.

A House subcommittee heard from Michael J. Maxwell, former director of the office of security and investigations of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service. He portrayed a dysfunctional agency crippled by corruption both inside and outside that's trying to handle too many cases with too few employees.
"The integrity of the United States immigration system has been corrupted, and the system is incapable of ensuring the security of our homeland," Maxwell told the committee.
He told of overworked immigration officials pressured into approving requests to enter the United States even if proper security checks had not been done.
"Employees are tempted to grant benefits in order to receive cash, promotions, time off rather than deny the benefit," he said. He accused supervisors of putting pressure on workers to handle 12 to 16 applications an hour, which he called a dangerously high caseload.
In one example, Maxwell said, the agency employed an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen suspected of being a foreign intelligence agent to review asylum applications.
The USCIS said the agency's inspector general is investigating Maxwell's allegations. USCIS spokeswoman Angelica Alfonso-Royals told The Associated Press today that the agency's top priority "continues to be preserving and enhancing the integrity of the immigration system." She said the agency has confidence in the system but continually strives for improvement and "it takes allegations seriously."
The USCIS said the agency's inspector general is investigating Maxwell's allegations. USCIS spokeswoman Angelica Alfonso-Royals told The Associated Press today that the agency's top priority "continues to be preserving and enhancing the integrity of the immigration system." She said the agency has confidence in the system but continually strives for improvement and "it takes allegations seriously."
Maxwell related the story of one manager who told him of "benefits parties" at the end of the month where the immigration employees who cleared the most cases were given cash prizes. "We also have documentation where performance appraisals, promotions, if you will, are based upon the number of affirmative adjudications," he said.
He warned that terrorists could exploit the weaknesses in the immigration agency and enter the United States. "It is clear that the system that exists now, the process that exists now cannot suitably protect the homeland based on the workload we have now," Maxwell said.

The truth of how much illegals cost the US
Cristobal Silverio emigrated illegally from Mexico to Stockton, Calif., in 1997 to work as a fruit picker.
He brought with him his wife, Felipa, and three children, 19, 12 and 8 – all illegals. When Felipa gave birth to her fourth child, daughter Flor, the family had what is referred to as an "anchor baby" – an American citizen by birth who provided the entire Silverio clan a ticket to remain in the U.S. permanently.
But Flor was born premature, spent three months in the neonatal incubator and cost the San Joaquin Hospital more than $300,000. Meanwhile, oldest daughter Lourdes married an illegal alien gave birth to a daughter, too. Her name is Esmeralda. And Felipa had yet another child, Cristian.
The two Silverio anchor babies generate $1,000 per month in public welfare funding for the family. Flor gets $600 a month for asthma. Healthy Cristian gets $400. While the Silverios earned $18,000 last year picking fruit, they picked up another $12,000 for their two "anchor babies."
While President Bush says the U.S. needs more "cheap labor" from south of the border to do jobs Americans aren't willing to do, the case of the Silverios shows there are indeed uncalculated costs involved in the importation of such labor – public support and uninsured medical costs.
In fact, the increasing number of illegal aliens coming into the United States is forcing the closure of hospitals, spreading previously vanquished diseases and threatening to destroy America's prized health-care system, says a report in the spring issue of the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons.
"The influx of illegal aliens has serious hidden medical consequences," writes Madeleine Pelner Cosman, author of the report. "We judge reality primarily by what we see. But what we do not see can be more dangerous, more expensive, and more deadly than what is seen."
According to her study, 84 California hospitals are closing their doors as a direct result of the rising number of illegal aliens and their non-reimbursed tax on the system.
"Anchor babies," the author writes, "born to illegal aliens instantly qualify as citizens for welfare benefits and have caused enormous rises in Medicaid costs and stipends under Supplemental Security Income and Disability Income."
In addition, the report says, "many illegal aliens harbor fatal diseases that American medicine fought and vanquished long ago, such as drug-resistant tuberculosis, malaria, leprosy, plague, polio, dengue, and Chagas disease."
While politicians often mention there are 43 million without health insurance in this country, the report estimates that at least 25 percent of those are illegal immigrants. The figure could be as high as 50 percent.
Not being insured does not mean they don't get medical care.
Under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1985, hospitals are obligated to treat the uninsured without reimbursement.
"Government imposes viciously stiff fines and penalties on any physician and any hospital refusing to treat any patient that a zealous prosecutor deems an emergency patient, even though the hospital or physician screened and declared the patient's illness or injury non-emergency," says the report. "But government pays neither hospital nor physician for treatments. In addition to the fiscal attack on medical facilities and personnel, EMTALA is a handy truncheon with which to pummel politically unpopular physicians by falsely accusing them of violating EMTALA."
According to the report, between 1993 and 2003, 60 California hospitals closed because half their services became unpaid. Another 24 California hospitals verge on closure, the author writes.
"American hospitals welcome 'anchor babies,'" says the report. "Illegal alien women come to the hospital in labor and drop their little anchors, each of whom pulls its illegal alien mother, father, and siblings into permanent residency simply by being born within our borders. Anchor babies are citizens, and instantly qualify for public welfare aid: Between 300,000 and 350,000 anchor babies annually become citizens because of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the State wherein they reside."
Among the organizations directing illegal aliens into America's medical systems, according to the report, are the Ford Foundation-funded Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Immigration Law Center, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association's Commission on Immigration Policy, Practice, and Pro Bono, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the National Council of La Raza, George Soros's Open Society Institute, the Migration Policy Institute, the National Network for Immigration and Refugee Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Because drug addiction and alcoholism are classified as diseases and disabilities, the fiscal toll on the health-care system rises.
When Linda Torres was arrested in Bakersfield, Calif., with about $8,500 in small bills in a sack, the police originally thought it was stolen money, explained the report. It was her Social Security lump sum for her disability -- heroin addiction.
"Today, legal immigrants must demonstrate that they are free of communicable diseases and drug addiction to qualify for lawful permanent residency green cards," writes Cosman, a medical lawyer, who formerly taught medical students at the City University of New York. "Illegal aliens simply cross our borders medically unexamined, hiding in their bodies any number of communicable diseases."
Many illegals entering this country have tuberculosis, according to the report.
"That disease had largely disappeared from America, thanks to excellent hygiene and powerful modern drugs such as isoniazid and rifampin," says the report. "TB's swift, deadly return now is lethal for about 60 percent of those infected because of new Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis. Until recently MDR-TB was endemic to Mexico. This Mycobacterium tuberculosis is resistant to at least two major anti-tubercular drugs. Ordinary TB usually is cured in six months with four drugs that cost about $2,000. MDR-TB takes 24 months with many expensive drugs that cost around $250,000 with toxic side effects. Each illegal with MDR-TB coughs and infects 10 to 30 people, who will not show symptoms immediately. Latent disease explodes later.
TB was virtually absent in Virginia until in 2002, when it spiked a 17 percent increase, but Prince William County, just south of Washington, D.C., had a much larger rise of 188 percent. Public health officials blamed immigrants. In 2001 the Indiana School of Medicine studied an outbreak of MDR-TB, and traced it to Mexican illegal aliens. The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81 percent of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ascribed 42 percent of all new TB cases to 'foreign born' people who have up to eight times higher incidences apparently, 66 percent of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines and Vietnam."
Other health threats from illegals include, according to the report:
Chagas disease, also called American trypanosomiasis or "kissing bug disease," is transmitted by the reduviid bug, which prefers to bite the lips and face. The protozoan parasite that it carries, Trypanosoma cruzi, infects 18 million people annually in Latin America and causes 50,000 deaths. The disease also infiltrates America's blood supply. Chagas affects blood transfusions and transplanted organs. No cure exists. Hundreds of blood recipients may be silently infected.

Leprosy, also known as Hansen's disease, was so rare in America that in 40 years only 900 people were afflicted. Suddenly, in the past three years America has more than 7,000 cases of leprosy. Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states because illegal aliens and other immigrants brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean and Mexico. Dengue fever is exceptionally rare in America, though common in Ecuador, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Mexico. Recently, according to the report, there was a virulent outbreak of dengue fever in Webb County, Texas, which borders Mexico. Though dengue is usually not a fatal disease, dengue hemorrhagic fever routinely kills. Polio was eradicated from America, but now reappears in illegal immigrants as do intestinal parasites, says the report. Malaria was obliterated, but now is re-emerging in Texas.
The Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons report includes a strong prescription for protecting the health of Americans:
Closing America's borders with fences, high-tech security devices and troops. Rescinding the U.S. citizenship of "anchor babies." Punishing the aiding and abetting of illegal aliens as a crime. An end to amnesty programs.

Anchor babies are citizens, and instantly qualify for public welfare aid: Between 300,000 and 350,000 anchor babies annually become citizens because of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and the State wherein they reside."
Among the organizations directing illegal aliens into America's medical systems, according to the report, are the Ford Foundation-funded Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund, the National Immigration Law Center, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association's Commission on Immigration Policy, Practice, and Pro Bono, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the National Council of La Raza, George Soros's Open Society Institute, the Migration Policy Institute, the National Network for Immigration and Refugee Rights and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Because drug addiction and alcoholism are classified as diseases and disabilities, the fiscal toll on the health-care system rises.
When Linda Torres was arrested in Bakersfield, Calif., with about $8,500 in small bills in a sack, the police originally thought it was stolen money, explained the report. It was her Social Security lump sum for her disability -- heroin addiction.
"Today, legal immigrants must demonstrate that they are free of communicable diseases and drug addiction to qualify for lawful permanent residency green cards," writes Cosman, a medical lawyer, who formerly taught medical students at the City University of New York. "Illegal aliens simply cross our borders medically unexamined, hiding in their bodies any number of communicable diseases."
Many illegals entering this country have tuberculosis, according to the report.
"That disease had largely disappeared from America, thanks to excellent hygiene and powerful modern drugs such as isoniazid and rifampin," says the report. "TB's swift, deadly return now is lethal for about 60 percent of those infected because of new Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis. Until recently MDR-TB was endemic to Mexico. This Mycobacterium tuberculosis is resistant to at least two major anti-tubercular drugs. Ordinary TB usually is cured in six months with four drugs that cost about $2,000. MDR-TB takes 24 months with many expensive drugs that cost around $250,000 with toxic side effects. Each illegal with MDR-TB coughs and infects 10 to 30 people, who will not show symptoms immediately. Latent disease explodes later.
TB was virtually absent in Virginia until in 2002, when it spiked a 17 percent increase, but Prince William County, just south of Washington, D.C., had a much larger rise of 188 percent. Public health officials blamed immigrants. In 2001 the Indiana School of Medicine studied an outbreak of MDR-TB, and traced it to Mexican illegal aliens. The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81 percent of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ascribed 42 percent of all new TB cases to 'foreign born' people who have up to eight times higher incidences apparently, 66 percent of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines and Vietnam."

Dengue fever is exceptionally rare in America, though common in Ecuador, Peru, Vietnam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Mexico. Recently, according to the report, there was a virulent outbreak of dengue fever in Webb County, Texas, which borders Mexico. Though dengue is usually not a fatal disease, dengue hemorrhagic fever routinely kills. Polio was eradicated from America, but now reappears in illegal immigrants as do intestinal parasites, says the report. Malaria was obliterated, but now is re-emerging in Texas.
The Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons report includes a strong prescription for protecting the health of Americans:
Closing America's borders with fences, high-tech security devices and troops. Rescinding the U.S. citizenship of "anchor babies." Punishing the aiding and abetting of illegal aliens as a crime. An end to amnesty programs.
Brilliant commentary on how the media and illegal immigration
Is it just me or has everyone noticed the lack of fair and balanced media coverage in the illegal immigration debate? We see hundreds of images of rallies with protesters numbering as many as 500,000. We see empassioned statements from those who support and advocate ILLEGAL immigration. We hear the term "racist" and "anti-immigrant" bandied about. We hear the same statement over and over again that "we're not criminals, we just want to work", but we seldom hear opposing viewpoints.
As an educated student of persuasion techniques and as person who works in the media, I am not easily swayed by the media or propaganda. I don't feel the need to run out and buy Budweiser because the commercial indicates that I will soon be partying with hot college girls. I am not fooled into buying some life alert for grandma because the commercial shows a little old lady on the floor who can't reach the phone. By working in the media, I am aware of how images are manipulated to deliver a message in order to pursuade receivers of that message to agree with a point of view.
Anyone who has seen a political commercial, knows that candidates are being sold or dissed with 4-second soundbites. For example, take a Senatorial candidate (not real) who was cited for peeing on the bushes during spring break in 1980. You then get a commercial spot from the opposing candidate's media team that sounds like the following -- "Joe Schmo was busted for indecent exposure in 1980. Don't vote for Joe, he's a weenie-wagger." People then think the candidate is a sexual deviant and vote for the other guy. And propositions are sold on misleading one-liner's like "Proposition 666 will take money from children and puppies! Please vote NO!" Now the un-and-under-educated and easily swayed will think to themselves "Hmm, I like puppies and children, so I'm voting no." Little do they know that the real issue at heart is to reduce spending on bloated government contracts or something similar.
What we're seeing in media coverage of the illegal immigrant debate and by empassioned advocates of open borders, is the dropping of the word "ILLEGAL" from headlines and verbal debate. By doing so, they are trying to convince the viewers (you) that those who oppose illegal immigration or amnesty are "anti-immigrant" or "racist." By removing the word "ILLEGAL" from the dialogue, they are trying to take the wind out of the sails of those who oppose their point of view. Those who would speak out, refrain from doing so, so as not to be labeled racist, which would not be the case if the term "ILLEGAL" were not removed from the argument.
"Propaganda is a specific type of message presentation directly aimed at influencing the opinions of people, rather than impartially providing information. In some cultures the term is neutral or even positive, while in others the term has acquired a strong negative connotation. Its connotations can also vary over time. For instance, in English, "propaganda" was originally a neutral term used to describe the dissemination of information in favor of a certain cause. Over time, however, the term acquired the negative connotation of disseminating false or misleading information in favor of a certain cause. Strictly speaking, a message does not have to be untrue to qualify as propaganda, but it may omit so many pertinent truths that it becomes highly misleading."
So go ahead and spout all you want about racism. Go ahead and try to sell us on your cause using puppies and children and misdirection. The debate is about ILLEGAL immigration. Those who oppose you are not "anti-immigrant", as all of our families immigrated here at some point in history. What we oppose is the fact that you sureptitiously snuck across an international border under cover of night, with no passport or visa because you were too lazy to fight for a better way of life in the country who's flag you wave with such pride. We oppose your presence because you blatantly disregard our laws. We oppose your presence because you pay no income taxes and use our resources for free, like medical care and education. We oppose your presence because you have essentially cut in line in front the honorable immigrants who apply for citizenship LEGALLY. We oppose your presence because you take jobs from our uneducated citizens who can fill them.
Now please follow along with an analogy, if you will. Imagine for me what your favorite meal is. Perhaps it's lobster or a big, juicy top sirloin steak with wonderful side dishes to compliment the meal. Maybe you also have a favorite desert like cheese cake or chocolate mousse. This is the meal that you request on special occasions like your birthday or anniversary. Now imagine if someone delivered your favorite meal to your table on a dirty, disgusting trash can lid. Somehow, the meal just isn't that appetizing anymore, is it? Not to say it isn't a good meal, but the way it was delivered has now made it unpalatable. This is what you have done by coming to our country with blatant disregard for our laws and by now demading rights that technically, you do not possess.
Please know that the higher-thinkers in our society will never be swayed by your tactics. Sure, you'll win over the less-educated, passionate types who are easily swayed and you'll even win over some limousine liberals to support your cause, but we (free-thinkers) vote more often. We are the true "sleeping giant." We see through the media bias and diatribe by your advocates and leaders and we know what's happening. We all wear watches and we all know what time it is. The house and senate bills are so far on either end of the spectrum, that I guarantee you the compromise will NOT be something you are happy with.
And do you want to know what's really scary? I'm a centrist!

Present day Mexicans have no ties to the Northwest
(This is a reprint of an article that I feel is fascinating)
The amount of historical idiocy and fallacies surrounding the history of the Southwest is staggering, chief among them the "Aztlan" fairy tales. What's the truth? How did the Spanish Europeans conquer the Southwest? The "conquistadores" (that means "conquerors") did it with the lance, and the lash.
For example, in 1541 Coronado entered present-day New Mexico (which included Arizona during the Spanish era) searching for the "lost cities of gold." One of his first actions upon meeting the natives was to burn 100's of them alive in their dwellings, for not handing over suspected horse thieves. That is how Spain conquered the natives of what is now the U.S. Southwest--not with hugs and kisses! It was certainly no love-fest between long-lost brown-skinned soul- mates, as it is often portrayed today by the delusional Aztlaners today, who spin the "new bronze race of Mestizos" toro-mierda.
By 1821, Mexico City was strong enough to overthrow even more decrepit and ineffectual Spanish rule. However, the distant provinces of the current US Southwest were far beyond the reach of the authority of independent but strife-torn Mexico. These distant northern provinces received neither military protection nor needed levels of trade from the south. Under Spanish rule, trade with the U.S.A. was forbidden, but at least Spain provided trade and Army protection from hostile Indians. Under Mexican neglect, the Southwest received neither trade nor protection from Mexico City.
For example, Comanches and Apaches ran rampant in the 1830s in this new power vacuum created by Mexican neglect, burning scores of major ranches that had been around for hundreds of years and massacring their inhabitants. Mexico City could neither defend nor keep the allegiance of its nominal citizens in these regions. Nor did it provide needed levels of trade to sustain the prior Spanish-era standard of living. Mexican influence atrophied, withered and died at the same time that American pathfinders were opening up new routes into the region.
Increasingly, a growing America was making inroads into the Southwest, via ships into California, and via gigantic wagon trains of trade goods over the Santa Fe Trail from St. Louis. The standard of living of the SPANISH in these states subsequently increased enormously, which is why they did not support Mexico City in the 1846-48 war. In fact, the Spanish-speaking inhabitants of the Southwest NEVER considered themselves "Mexicans" at all, ever. They went, in their own eyes, from SPANISH directly to AMERICAN.
So how long did Mexico City have even nominal control over the Southwest? For only 25 years, during which they had no effective control, and the area slipped backwards until the arrival of the Americans. The SPANISH inhabitants of the Southwest NEVER transferred their loyalty to Mexico City, because all the received from the chaotic Mexican government was misrule, neglect, and unchecked Indian raids.
Since then, how long has the area been under firm American control? For 150 continuous years, during which time the former Spanish inhabitants of the region, now American citizens, have prospered beyond the wildest dreams of the Mexicans stuck in Mexico. To compare the infrastructure, roads, schools, hospitals etc of the two regions is to understand the truth. The Mexican government has been mired in graft, corruption, nepotism and chaos from the very start. The ordinary Mexican peons have been trampled and abused, while only the super-rich elites have thrived. This is why millions of Mexicans want to escape from Mexico today, to enjoy the benefits of living in America they can never obtain in Mexico.
And now, we are supposed to let any Mexican from Chiapas, Michoacan or Yucatan march into the American Southwest, and make some "historical claim" of a right to live there? From where does this absurd idea spring?
At what point in history did Indians and Mestizos from Zacatecas or Durango stake a claim on the American Southwest? Neither they nor their ancestors ever lived there for one single day. The Spanish living in the Southwest in 1846 stayed there, and became Americans by the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. There were no Spanish inhabitants of the Southwest who were marched to the border and driven into Mexico. It didn't happen. The SPANISH in the Southwest welcomed American citizenship, which brought stability, protection from Indian raids, and a vast increase in their standard of living with the increase in trade.
In sum, NO current inhabitants of Mexico have ANY claim on even one single inch of the Southwest! NOT ONE citizen of Mexico is sneaking into the USA to reclaim property they were deprived of, NOT ONE.
They are criminal invaders and colonizers, pure and simple.

I am an American Citizen watching my country destroyed
I never thought I would be here. I never thought I would be a person that is now so convinced our country is allowing us to be invaded, that I have no choice but to discuss it, organize against it and have discussions with people like me.
I am not white, male, a xenophobe, I am a person of color, part of my family heritage is Native American. I can trace my lineage on this country back thousands of years. I grew up in a place where I was taught to respect differences. My grandparents worked hard their entire life, my parents as well. They raised me to work hard, not ask for hand out, respect people regardless of their background and if I desired something all I had to do was work hard for it.
I remember in junior high being totally in love with Spanish culture. I loved the language, loved the differences of Spain, South American, Mexico, etc. It was learning about these differences that persuaded me to study spanish in school starting from the ninth grade. It was my dream to learn about people different from me, and travel and see the world. I am sure many people can understand.
Illegal Immigration was never something that was so huge people were afraid. It was never something where people believed millions were coming into this country, we all knew intellectually that somewhere there were people that may not completely followed the rules to be here, but as soon as they could they rectified it, they worked hard, learned the language, and become productive members of american society.
One of my best friends is a legal immigrant. I married a man that was a legal immigrant to this country. As I became older and entered university, I realized and learned the entire process of INS, the cost, the interviews, etc for those that wish to take part in the American dream. I learned that living in the US is not a promise to everyone. I learned that this world is huge and that the best way for us as humans to live and grow is to learn to take care of the land we live. Petty corruptions, divisions are what causes destruction.
After 9/11, I realized that our government had many holes. Holes so deep, we couldn't even imagine. I realized that our country was being invaded, but not only that, we were being bought and sold right before our eyes. I realized how huge the borders of unprotected soil was being invaded every day and how much the country I had loved with all its imperfection was fading away.
I watched George Bush steal elections and in that time, I realized that we no longer lived in a democracy. I realized there was not much difference between a Democrat and a Republican and that at the end of the day the ate at the same trough, they were elite people who made empty promises, carried out their own agendas and couldn't care less about the common american citizen. I never thought GW Bush would allow 10 million Mexican illegals to invade my country without so much as a sigh.
And for that and so many reasons I am here. Not because I hate immigrants, I do not. Not because I hate people of color, absolutely not. I am a person of color. I have faced racism and discrimination my entire life, it is not an excuse for injustice on anyone's part. I am just like you and you are just like me. I wanted to join the MinuteMen but was afraid I was actually joined a "hate group" who hated people just like me. A lot of those other groups seem to hate all kinds of people and just lump illegal immigrants (mainly from Mexico) into that group. That simply isn't me. This blog is not about hate, this blog and this organizing is about Love.
I have watched people with hate invade my country because they mistakenly believe that this country is their land. Which is utterly ridiculous. No Mexican anywhere has any claim to the United States. Not one. I have watched marches of mainly illegal Mexicans who refuse to learn English, who chat they are going to "take over our country". Hello Mr. President, you are fighting in Iraq and you have millions of people invading the United States with not only hate for its citizens, but they are organizing to take it over. Why are you not protecting us? Why are not sending troops to protect our great country?
I have watched Spanish pop up more and more. 1 for English, 2 for Spanish is insulting. I have watched illegal immigrants get more aid to live here, go to to school, get mortgages, steal social security numbers, make up ones, steal american citizens identities and they still live under the radar of our country. What is the big push for them to become legal again? They want to take over, they have terrorist groups like "La Raza" and Aztlan there to support them and SHOCKINGLY, I see these militant terrorist groups in Washington, DC in secret meetings with our president and aids. Do you think something is going on that we don't know about. Much like Michael Moore showed our president in secret meetings with Saudi Arabi, let's look at how many flights, trips and meetings our president routinely has with Mexico (as friends), while the common american citizen watches the hate, and see the marches of overtaking us. Hello? Is anyone home.
I have been looking around the internet, reading papers, talking to Mexican people, figures of both of these mililtant organizations for a while now. I am a friendly earthy person and when people don't feel threatened and think you are on "their side" they will tell you everything. I learned this tactic early. There has been a plan in the works for a while now. A plan to slowly invade our country from Mexico. They wouldn't use guns or bombs (they know they would quickly be exterminated), they would use our corporate greed against us, they will just invade and overtake by sheer numbers, even if that meant the whole of Mexico (those who were fit enough to leave; man, woman, and child) to run to the "US" and take it over. Please, know this is exactly what is happening here now, today and for the future.
This is not about getting to know different cultures. This is not about hard working people who just want a better life, who respect the country. This is not about free enterprise. This is about not only a hate and disrespect for our country, but an invasion of terroristic overthrowing of our country as we know it. The middle class is being destroyed right before our eyes. Public schools are in a crisis that is almost unbelievable. Our quality of education is at an all time low in public schools, because of such an illegal Mexican invasion, children won't learn English, are only schooled to do low-skilled labor jobs, join gangs and have a basic lack of respect for the United States in general. My heart goes out to all the school teachers that are dealing with this crisis. People join my blog, please share you thoughts. Courts are up in arms. Hospitals are closing right and left, things we took for granted would always be apart of our world in this country are diminishing before our eyes. The media has become a circus of lies, and we are fighting a battle that no matter what Congress and the President decides (for their benefit), we are sinking.
The only way we can stop the inevitable is to come together. It doesn't matter if you are black, white, asian, hispanic, as long as you are an american citizen that wants to take our country back, please join me. No hate, no racism, just honest facts about our country and where we are going. If we continue going this way we are going to have a CIVIL WAR.
I remember reading an article that caused a great deal of hoopla. It was a very reknowned professor who said we are creating two different Americans. It reverberated in me at the time, because my brother had just came back from Miami and couldn't find a person to fix his car that spoke English. I have communicated with people that live in California, in conclaves where you can't get fast food and service if you don't speak English. This professor was not only accurate, but he foretold of things to come.
I have so much more to say, but I will leave with this last thought:
Why is Mexico not being held responsible for its failures? Why are illegal immigrants from Mexico (who number over 90%) not marching against Mexico? Why aren't the millions of Mexicans joining together and fighting for change in their country?

I am not white, male, a xenophobe, I am a person of color, part of my family heritage is Native American. I can trace my lineage on this country back thousands of years. I grew up in a place where I was taught to respect differences. My grandparents worked hard their entire life, my parents as well. They raised me to work hard, not ask for hand out, respect people regardless of their background and if I desired something all I had to do was work hard for it.
I remember in junior high being totally in love with Spanish culture. I loved the language, loved the differences of Spain, South American, Mexico, etc. It was learning about these differences that persuaded me to study spanish in school starting from the ninth grade. It was my dream to learn about people different from me, and travel and see the world. I am sure many people can understand.
Illegal Immigration was never something that was so huge people were afraid.
